John Lott, Ph.D. began his research 20 years ago at Florida State University under the assumption that gun registration and gun control and gun bans reduced crime, but after conducting the largest survey on the uses of firearms, the results changed his mind completely.
Dr. Lott now advocates for liberalizing concealed carry permits based upon the empirical data across time that demonstrates clearly that gun bans result in significant increases in all crimes.
